Year 5 and 6 Electric Lego Workshop

On Monday 22nd May, Years 5 and 6 enjoyed an Electric Lego workshop where the children, in groups, were given the task of building a town from Lego. Each town was required to have an electric railway and the houses, electric lighting; these involved constructing circuits, putting into practice the children’s knowledge gained from Science lessons. A particular challenge was to raise the circular railway track on stilts so that it was elevated above the roads. Each town also had a harbour, lake or other water feature, and one high-rise building. All the children worked enthusiastically in their teams and produced some very well-planned layouts.
