The Year 4 trip to Mersea Island

Last Friday, Year 4 set off very early for a fun packed day at East Mersea Activity Centre. The children were split into four groups and participated in two activities (climbing and assault course) during the morning session. The assault course consisted of 11 activities in which the children had to work as a team to complete each task. The children were very excited to enter the mud pit too, wading through the muddy, freezing water!

The other activity in the morning session was climbing. The children participated in both climbing the wall and be-laying for the climber. Many of the Year 4 children successfully climbed to the very top! After these activities we had our lunch and then it was the Ultimate Challenge!

The Ultimate Challenge was a series of inflatables where the children had to challenge each other to score points for their team. The inflatables consisted of a bungee run, a variety of assault courses and a gladiator style game (Duel) where the Gladiator has to knock the opposing player off of a platform using a pugil stick. The children had a wonderful day and were exceptionally well behaved.
