Sports News – Week Commencing 30th November

U9 Girls Netball

Our U9 girls enjoyed their last internal Netball fixture on Monday afternoon and they played with such determination throughout every match.  It was amazing to see how much progress they have made throughout the Autumn term, despite the fact they have not been able to play against other schools.  Our internal matches have allowed the girls to experience sportsmanship, tactics and fair play, as well as learning how to harness and channel their competitive spirit.  It has been fantastic to see their play develop and we cannot wait to see them playing Hockey after the Christmas break!
Well done girls … you are all superstars!

The results from this week’s matches are as follows:

(names in brackets were voted in as player of the match)

RED (Amara) v BLUE (Eleanor): 2-2

YELLOW (Chloe) v BLUE (Eleanor): 7-0

YELLOW (Jemima) v RED (Katerina): 4-1
Well done Chloe, Emilia and Flo for captaining your teams through each and every game.

U9 Boys Football

Our U9 boys also enjoyed their final internal Football match.  The boys’ have been very impressive this term and have made so much progress with both their skill level and match play.  They have listened well and many are really beginning to execute set plays taught in the lessons into their matches.  The boys had a fantastic afternoon and as normal, were very competitive!  The boys were randomly selected into three teams and this proved very successful.  It gave all the boys the determination to succeed.  The matches were very close and the results were as follows:

Red v Yellow: 2-0

Red v Blue: 2-0

Yellow v Blue: 2-2

A special mention must go to the following boys for excellent play in their matches:

James, Hadleigh, Charlie B, Charlie B, Otto, Archie, Rory and Jonty

We very much look forward to the Rugby season after Christmas!  Well done to all the boys.
