ISA Netball

On Wednesday 30th January 2019, our U11A Netball team travelled to Alleyn Court Prep School, Southend for the ISA Regional Netball Tournament.

There were 11 schools competing and Littlegarth won 4 out of the 5 pool games placing them 2nd in the pool at the end of the first round.

Littlegarth met Brentwood Ursuline in the semi – final and it was during this match that they played their best netball to date.  At full time the score was 5-5 which resulted in 3 minutes extra time, after which, the score was 6-6!  This meant that the teams faced “Golden Goal” which proved extremely exciting, particularly as  Littlegarth secured the first goal winning the match 7-6!  This secured a place in the ISA National Netball Tournament  in York on March 16th.  It was a nail biting and extremely exciting game.  The team eventually lost to St Margaret’s in the Final but were exceptionally happy to have achieved 2nd place.

The team should be extremely proud of themselves.  They were a very determined, enthusiastic, hard-working and committed.  Well done to all of the girls!
